만취 상태의 탑승자들이 타고 있던 SUV(스포츠유틸리티차량)에 20대 보행자가 숨지는 사고가 났다.사고 차량에 탑승하고 있던 3명 모두 자신이 운전자가 아니라고 발뺌하고 있다.

13일 경찰과 소방 당국에 따르면 이날 오전 2시 10분쯤 대전 유성구 봉명동에서 주행 중이던 스포츠유틸리티차(SUV)가 보행 신호에 횡단보도를 건너던 A(20대)씨를 들이받은 뒤 가로등과 주차돼 있던 버스까지 잇따라 들이받았다.

이 사고로 A씨는 그 자리에서 숨지고 SUV 차량에 타고 있던 20대 한국인 B씨와 캄보디아인 C 씨가 각각 중상과 경상을 입고 인근 병원으로 이송됐다.또 다른 탑승자인 20대 캄보디아인 D 씨는 사고 직후 도주했다가 경찰에 의해 붙잡혔다.

차량에 타고 있던 3명은 모두 음주 상태였다.경찰 음주 측정 결과 3명 중 2명은 혈중알코올농도가 면허 취소 수준인 0.08% 이상이었다.나머지 1명은 단속 기준에 미치지 않는 0.03% 미만이었다.

SUV 차량에 타고 있던 3명은 직장 동료 사이인 것으로 확인됐다.

경찰 관계자는 "사고 당시 3명이 모두 음주상태였으며 서로 운전을 하지 않았다고 진술하고 있다"며 "현재 정확한 사고 경위를 조사하고 있다"고 말했다.
