현대차·기아의 유럽 생산 전기차 적용될 구동모터코어 생산

포스코인터내셔널이 지난 11일(현지시각) 폴란드 오플레주 브제크시에서 신규 구동모터코어 공장 착공식을 가졌다고 12일 밝혔다.

폴란드 신공장은 10만m² 규모로 건설되며 내년 중순 완공이 목표다.현대차·기아의 유럽 현지생산 전기차에 적용될 구동모터코어 103만대 생산을 시작으로 2025년 하반기부터 본격 가동될 예정이다.

포스코인터내셔널은 폴란드 신공장을 유럽 시장의 생산 거점으로 삼는다.향후 유럽 주요 전기차 메이커들을 공략해 폴란드 공장에서만 2030년까지 연 120만대를 만들 수 있는 구동모터코어 생산체제를 갖춘다는 계획이다.

폴란드 신공장이 완공되면 포스코인터내셔널은 한국 포항과 인천,마작 애니메이션멕시코,인도,마작 애니메이션폴란드까지 구동모터 글로벌 생산 클러스터를 구축하게 된다.특히 동아시아와 서남아시아,북미,유럽 등 주요 권역에서 생산기지를 확보함으로써 관세장벽 리스크를 해소할 수 있게 됐다.

포스코인터내셔널 관계자는 “아시아,북미에 이어 친환경 자동차 산업의 최전선인 유럽 현지에 생산기지를 확보해 의미가 있다”며 “2030년까지 글로벌 연산 750만대 체제를 구축해 시장 점유율을 10%까지 끌어 올릴 것”이라고 말했다.
