김상훈 의원은 “경정청구는 납세신고로부터 5년 기준으로 할 수 있기 때문에 과거 정부에서 종부세를 부과받은 납부자들이 이번 정부에 경정청구를 하면서 급증한 것으로 볼 수 있다”고 설명했다.부동산 가격 상승에 종부세 중과 등을 도입하며 종부세 납부 세액과 인원이 일제히 늘었다는 지적이다.

종부세 부담이 커지면서 세금을 나눠 내겠다는 사람도 증가했다.종부세 분납 신청자는 2018년 3067명에서 2022년 6만7489명으로 급증했고,지난해에는 1만5529명이었다.분납 신청 세액도 4254억원에서 2022년 1조4758억원으로 늘었다가 지난해에는 1조441억원을 기록했다.
