우크라이나가 러시아가 점령 중인 크림반도를 미국산 장거리 미사일 에이태큼스(ATACMS)로 공습했다고 타스,스푸트니크 통신이 23일(현지시간) 보도했습니다.

보도에 따르면 러시아 국방부는 이날 낮 우크라이나군이 크림반도의 도시 세바스토폴을 향해 에이태큼스 집속탄 미사일 5기를 쐈다고 밝혔습니다.

국방부는 이 가운데 4기는 러시아군 대공방어시스템에 격추됐으나 나머지 1기는 공중에서 탄두가 폭발했다고 덧붙였습니다.

미하일 라즈보자예프 세바스토폴 시장은 텔레그램에서 "우크라이나의 범죄 정권이 대낮에 집속탄을 장착한 미사일로 폭격했다.미사일 파편에 어린이 2명을 포함해 3명이 숨지고 100명가량이 다쳤다"고 주장했습니다.

마리야 자하로바 러시아 외무부 대변인은 우크라이나가 고의로 사람이 많이 모이는 곳을 노려 공격했다며 국제기구 차원의 조사가 필요하다고 요구했습니다.

지난 5월 미국은 우크라이나가 방어 목적에만 러시아 본토를 고속기동포병로켓시스템(HIMARS·하이마스),백호 카지노중거리 유도 다연장 로켓 시스템(GMLRS) 등 미국산 무기로 공격하는 것을 허용했습니다.

미국은 에이태큼스 미사일을 이용한 러시아 본토 공격은 허용하지 않았지만 크림반도는 2014년 러시아가 강제 병합한 지역이라는 점에서 본토라고는 할 수 없습니다.
