삼성바이오로직스가‘바이오플러스 인터펙스 2024’에 참가해 처음으로 단독 부스를 꾸리고,메인보드 메모리 슬롯 2개위탁개발생산(CDMO) 역량을 소개한다고 9일 발표했다.

오는 10~12일 서울 강남 코엑스에서 열리는 바이오플러스 인터펙스 2024(이하 BIX 2024)는 한국바이오협회가 주최하는 국내 제약·바이오 박람회다.이번 BIX 2024에는 기업 250곳과 1만명 이상의 관람객이 참석할 것으로 예상된다.

삼성바이오로직스는 첫 단독 부스를 열고 CDMO 역량 및 위탁개발(CDO) 플랫폼 등을 소개할 예정이다.CDO는 CMO에 비해 수익성은 낮지만 CMO 앞단의 R&D 영역이기 때문에 고객사를 선점하는 효과를 볼 수 있다.

최근 삼성바이오로직스는 CDO 역량을 강화하는 데 공을 들이는 중이다.지난해 민호성 부사장을 영입한 것이 대표적이다.민 부사장은 삼성바이오에피스에서 원료의약품(DS) 생산 총괄을 담당하다 중국 진스크립트프로바이오 최고경영자(CEO)로 일했는데,메인보드 메모리 슬롯 2개그룹의 전략적 판단하에 이례적으로 다시 삼성 울타리 안에 들어오게 됐다.

이외 2032년까지 확보하게 될 세계 최대 규모의 CDMO 생산역량(132만4000L),메인보드 메모리 슬롯 2개연내 완공을 앞둔 항체약물접합체(ADC) 전용 생산시설 등을 소개할 예정이다.

삼성바이오로직스 관계자는 “ADC 위탁개발생산 경쟁에 본격적으로 뛰어들어 고객사 확보를 위해 노력하고 있다”며 “전시장 부스 상단에 배너를 설치하는 등 회사 인지도도 높일 계획”이라고 말했다.
