[대구=뉴시스] 이상제 기자 = 낙동강 강정고령 지점에 올해 첫 조류경보가 내려졌다.

대구지방환경청은 27일 오후 3시를 기해 낙동강 강정고령 지점(강정고령보 상류 7㎞)에 올해 첫 조류경보 '관심' 단계를 발령했다고 밝혔다.

올해 조류경보는 지난해 같은 기간 대비 한주 늦게 발령됐다.

경보는 최근 2주간 강정고령 지점의 유해남조류 세포 수가 2회 연속 1천 cells/mL 이상 관찰돼 발표됐다.

환경당국은 이달 중순부터 이어진 폭염으로 수온이 상승해 유해남조류 증식에 적합한 조건이 형성됐기 때문으로 판단했다.

이에 환경청은 관계기관에 상황을 전파하면서 지자체에 대해서 오염원 점검을 강화하고 취·정수장에서는 정수처리를 강화하도록 요청했다.

대구환경청 관계자는 "올해도 녹조 발생에 불리한 여건이 지속될 것으로 예상된다"며 "녹조 저감 대책을 추진하고 관계기관과 협력해 안전한 수돗물이 차질 없이 공급될 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
