[서울=뉴시스]이창훈 기자 = 현대차·기아는 10일 서울시 서초구 한강홍수통제소에서 과학기술정보통신부(과기정통부) 및 환경부와 '도로·지하차도 침수 사고 예방을 위한 내비게이션 고도화' 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 내비게이션에 실시간 홍수 위험 경보 알림 서비스 제공하기 위해 체결됐다.매년 여름철 장마로 인한 침수 사고에 대비하자는 취지다.

현대차·기아는 지난 4일부터 홍수 위험 경보 알림 서비스를 제공하고 있다.기존 침수 통제 정보 알림에 더해 실시간 홍수 경보에 따른 침수 위험 구간 정보를 제공하는 것이 특징이다.댐 방류에 관한 위험 안내 정보도 송출한다.

현대차·기아 고객은 침수 경보 지역 근방 주행 시 내비게이션을 통해 위험 알림을 받을 수 있다.이를 통해 해당 구간 도로를 우회하거나 지하차도 진입 전 속도를 늦추는 등 사전 대응이 가능하다.

커넥티드 카 서비스에 가입된 현대차·기아·제네시스 차량을 이용하는 고객은 별도 소프트웨어 업데이트 없이 해당 서비스를 이용할 수 있다．
