한화시스템이 방위사업청과 한국형 전투기 KF-21 탑재 AESA 레이다 양산 계약을 체결했다.

한화시스템은 방위사업청과 한국형 전투기 KF-21에 탑재될 AESA 레이다 최초양산 계약을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.계약 규모는 1100여억원으로,카지노로 가는 무료 버스2025년 8월 말부터 KF-21에 탑재된다.

KF-21 AESA 레이다 양산 사업은 최초 양산과 후속 양산으로 구분된다.한화시스템은 최초 양산 20대를 시작으로 후속 양산까지 안정적으로 AESA 레이다를 공급한다는 계획이다.

전투기의 눈으로 불리는 AESA 레이다는 공중과 지상·해상 표적 탐지 및 추적 등 다양한 임무를 수행하는 최첨단 레이다다.현대 공중전에서 전투기 생존 및 전투 승패를 가르는 핵심 장비로 꼽힌다.기존보다 넓게 탐지하고 공중과 지성의 다중 표적과 동시 교전이 가능하다.

지난 2015년 미국이 전투기 핵심 기술이전을 거부한 이후 국내 기술로만 AESA 레이다를 개발하는 것은 불가능하다는 우려가 팽배했다.그러나 국방과학연구소 주관으로 한화시스템이 개발에 나서 2020년 시제 1호기를 출고했다.

이후 국내외에서 약 200소티 이상 비행시험을 통해 항공기용 AESA 레이다 성능을 입증하고 잠정 전투용 적합 판정을 받았다.

박혁 한화시스템 감시정찰부문 사업대표는 "항공기용 AESA 레이다를 개발 및 공급하고 수출까지 성사한 국내 유일한 기업"이라며 "미들급 전투기부터 경전투기급,카지노로 가는 무료 버스더 작은 무인기까지 적용할 수 있는 다양한 실적으로 글로벌 시장을 적극 공략할 것"이라고 말했다.
