대전에서 차량 7대를 들이받고 도주한 뒤 이틀 만에 나타났던 운전자와 동승자가 결국 음주운전 혐의로 검찰에 넘겨졌다.

대전 서부경찰서는 음주운전 등 도로교통법 위반,로또 1108회 제외수범인도피 방조 혐의로 50대 여성 A 씨와 50대 남성 B 씨를 불구속 송치했다고 3일 밝혔다.

A 씨는 지난 5월 1일 오전 2시쯤 서구 정림동 일대에서 술을 마시고 운전,로또 1108회 제외수한 아파트 주차장에 주차된 차 7대를 잇따라 들이받고 동승자인 B 씨와 도주한 혐의를 받는다.

이들은 사고 발생 38시간 만인 이튿날 오후 4시쯤 경찰에 출석,로또 1108회 제외수음주운전을 부인했다.시간이 흘렀던 만큼 경찰 출석 당시 이들의 혈중알코올농도 수치도 전혀 검출되지 않았다.

이후 경찰이 이들이 간 치킨집 CCTV에서 A 씨가 맥주 500cc 2잔을 마시는 장면을 확보하자,로또 1108회 제외수A 씨는 맥주 2잔만 마셨다고 진술을 번복했다.

여기에 경찰은 영수증과 차량 블랙박스 등 간접 증거들을 모아 국립과학수사연구원과 도로교통공단에 분석을 의뢰했다.

블랙박스에는 A 씨와 B 씨가 혀가 꼬인 채 대화했거나 음주운전을 의심할 만한 내용이 녹화돼 있었다.국과수 또한 당시 A 씨 혈중알코올농도가 최소 면허정지 수준 이상이었을 것이라는 분석 결과를 내놨다.

경찰은 이를 토대로 A 씨에게 음주운전 혐의를 적용했다.동승자 B 씨도 중간에 100여m 운전한 사실이 파악돼 음주운전 혐의가 함께 적용됐다.

이번 사건은 음주운전 사고를 낸 뒤 도주했다가 술이 깬 뒤 경찰에 출석했다는 점에서 가수 김호중 사건과 흡사하다는 평가를 받아 '대전판 김호중' 사건으로 불렸다.
