(서울=연합뉴스) 노재현 기자 = 카카오톡 채널에 손쉽게 인공지능(AI) 프로필 이미지를 만들 수 있는 '칼로 AI 프로필' 서비스가 종료된다.

카카오는 24일 이 서비스의 공식 채널을 통해 다음 달 24일 AI 프로필의 신규 생성 및 결제가 종료되며 내년 7월 말 서비스가 공식적으로 종료될 예정이라고 공지했다.

이용자가 생성한 AI 프로필은 '프로필 이력' 메뉴에서 생성일 기준으로 최대 1년간 저장하거나 조회할 수 있다.

카카오는 "새로운 변화를 위한 결정"이라고 밝혔다.

칼로 AI 프로필은 최신 이미지 생성 모델을 활용해 얼굴 사진 한 장만으로 AI 프로필 이미지 생성하는 서비스다.

카카오의 서비스 종료 발표는 지난해 11월 출시 후 불과 7개월 만이다.

최근 카카오는 AI 전담 조직 '카나나'를 신설했다.
