식약처,위민스여름철 모기 기피제 사용 정보 안내

(서울=연합뉴스) 김현수 기자 = 식품의약품안전처가 모기 기피제 종류와 농도에 따른 사용 가능 연령을 확인해달라고 11일 당부했다.

식약처에 따르면 모기 기피제의 주성분인 디에틸톨루아미드,이카리딘,에틸부틸아세틸아미노프로피오네이트(IR3535),파라멘탄-3,위민스8-디올 등은 성분 종류나 농도에 따라 사용할 수 있는 연령이 다르다.

디에틸톨루아미드가 10% 이하로 포함된 제품은 6개월 이상부터,'10% 초과 30% 이하' 제품은 12세 이상부터 사용해야 한다.

이카리딘은 6개월 미만 영아에게 사용할 수 없다.

IR3535는 6개월 미만 영아에게 사용할 경우 의사와 상의해야 한다.

파라멘탄-3,위민스8-디올은 4세 이상부터 사용할 수 있다.

식약처는 정식 허가된 모기 기피제 중 팔찌형·스티커형 제품은 없다고 강조했다.

이에 따라 '향기나는 팔찌·스티커'를 모기 기피제로 오인해 잘못 구매하지 않도록 제품 용기의 '의약외품' 표시를 확인하고,의약품안전나라 홈페이지(nedrug.mfds.go.kr)에서 정식 제품인지 확인해 달라고 당부했다.
