내달 5일 이후 논의체 마련 예고이정식 고용노동부 장관이 "최저임금 제도와 운영 방식을 개선 논의를 시작할 시점"이라며 전문가 등이 참여하는 논의체를 꾸리겠다고 밝혔다.

15일 박종필 고용부 대변인이 대독한 입장문에 따르면 이 장관은 "국가의 최저임금을 결정하는 과정이 마치 개별 기업의 노사가 임금 협상을 하듯 진행돼 소모적인 갈등과 논쟁이 반복되고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.

이 장관은 "최저임금의 결정 구조,kbo 다이아고딕기준 등 그간 다양한 의견이 제시돼 왔다"며 이를 반영해 개선 논의를 시작해야 한다고 짚었다.또 "(내년 최저임금) 최종 고시 이후에 전문가와 현장 등이 참여하는 논의체를 구성해 저임금 근로자와 영세 소상공인 어려움을 종합적으로 고려한 합리적인 대안을 마련하겠다"며 심도 있게 고민하겠다는 계획을 밝혔다.

앞서 최저임금위원회는 12일 위원 투표를 거쳐 내년도 최저임금을 시간당 1만30원으로 결정한 바 있다.이는 올해보다 1.7% 인상한 것이다.이 과정에서 최저임금 결정 방식에 대한 문제점이 이어졌고,kbo 다이아고딕이를 개선해야 한다는 지적이 나왔다.

이 장관은 "이의제기 기간이 있어 최저임금 최종 고시 날인 다음 달 5일 이후 전문가,kbo 다이아고딕현장 등이 참여하는 논의체를 구성하겠다"는 계획을 구체화했다.내년도 최저임금은 이의 제기 기간을 거친 후 8월 5일 최종 고시될 예정이다.
