최근 화성 공장 화재로 리튬 배터리에 대한 안전 우려가 커졌죠.

제주 우도의 한 전기오토바이 대여업체에서 최근 사흘간 화재가 잇달아 3번이나 발생했습니다.

약 40대의 전기오토바이가 불에 탔는데,파리 생제르맹 fc 대 툴루즈 fc 라인업모두 리튬배터리를 사용하고 있었습니다.

고민주 기자입니다.

[리포트]

주차 중인 전기오토바이에서 갑자기 시뻘건 불길이 솟구칩니다.

불은 순식간에 바로 옆 오토바이로 옮겨 붙더니,이내 시커먼 연기가 하늘을 뒤덮습니다.

["어떡해,파리 생제르맹 fc 대 툴루즈 fc 라인업저거 왜 저렇게 타는 거야."]

전기오토바이 대여업체에서 불이 난 것은 어제 오전 7시쯤.

19대가 불에 타 뼈대만 남았습니다.

[인근 주민 A 씨 : "남은 거(오토바이)를 옮겼거든요.주위에서 사람들이 옮기라고 해서.또 터지면 어떡하냐."]

그런데 이 업체에선 지난달 30일에도 두 차례나 화재가 발생해 전기오토바이 18대가 불에 탔습니다.

같은 업체에서 사흘새 세 차례나 불이 난 겁니다.

[인근 주민 B 씨 : "팡팡 터져서 진짜 폭탄이 떨어지는 것 같더래요.겁나고 (벌써) 몇 번째라서."]

불이 난 전기 오토바이엔 모두 리튬배터리가 달려 있습니다.

경찰과 소방당국은 리튬배터리에서 불이 시작된 것으로 보고 수거한 배터리 정밀 감식을 의뢰했습니다.

우도엔 현재 리튬배터리가 장착된 전기오토바이가 110여 대 있지만,화재 점검 대상은 아닙니다.

[공하성/우석대 소방방재학과 교수 : "(화재가 발생하면) 연속적으로 폭발이 일어나 불을 끄기도 어려운 상황이기 때문에 보다 특별하게 관리할 필요가 있다고 봅니다."]

최근 5년간 우도에서 발생한 리튬배터리 전기오토바이 화재는 모두 9건에 이릅니다.
