이번 공모전은 메타버스 게임 마인크래프트를 통해 고속도로 지하화 시대의 미래 모빌리티와 공간 변화에 대한 국민의 관심을 높이기 위해 기획됐으며,특히 경인지하고속도로를 주제로 인천광역시 등과 협업해 진행한다.

국내 초·중·고등학생과 해외 초·중학생이면 누구나 2∼8명으로 구성된 팀으로 참가할 수 있으며,국내 팀의 경우 에듀케이션 버전과 자바 버전,해외 팀의 경우 자바 버전으로 작품접수가 가능하다.

에듀케이션 버전은 교육을 위한 기능,프로그래밍 코드 교육 등을 위해 별도로 제작된 마인크래프트 버전으로 학교 단위로 계정 구매 가능하다.자바 버전의 경우 프로그래밍 언어 Java로 만들어진 마인크래프트 데스크톱 버전으로 개인 구매할 수 있다.
