도쿄전력은 오늘 오전 8시 33분께 후쿠시마 제1원전 6호기에서 전력 공급이 끊겨 사용후핵연료를 냉각하는 물을 보내는 데 사용하는 펌프가 정지됐다고 발표했습니다.

이어 오전 8시 35분께 화재경보기가 작동했고 작업자가 연기가 피어오르는 것을 목격했습니다.

소방대도 출동했으나 화재는 확인되지 않았다고 지지통신은 전했습니다.

이곳에는 사용후핵연료 약 1천400개가 보관돼 있습니다.

도쿄전력은 연료가 충분히 냉각된 상태여서 즉각적인 영향은 없을 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

후쿠시마 제1원전은 1∼6호기로 구성됩니다.2011년 동일본 대지진 당시 1∼4호기에서 사고가 발생했습니다.
