국무회의서 고흥·울진 산단 조성안 의결…2026년 산단 지정 목표

(세종=연합뉴스) 박초롱 기자 = 국토교통부가 고흥 우주발사체 국가산업단지와 울진 원자력수소 국가산업단지 후보지의 예비타당성 조사(예타) 면제 절차를 차질 없이 추진하겠다고 18일 밝혔다.

이날 열린 국무회의에서는 고흥과 울진 신규 국가산단 조성안이 의결됐다.

공공기관운영법에 따라 국가 정책적으로 추진이 필요해 국무회의를 거쳐 확정된 사업은 공공기관 예타를 면제할 수 있다.

고흥,2026 월드컵울진 산단은 지방권 최초로 예타 면제를 추진하는 곳이다.

고흥 산단은 우주발사체 발사장인 나로우주센터가 자리 잡은 전남 고흥군에 153만㎡(약 46만평) 규모로 조성된다.우주발사체 제작·개발을 위해 한화에어로스페이스,2026 월드컵이노스페이스 등이 입주한다.

울진 산단은 세계 최대 규모의 원자력발전소 집적지인 경북 울진에 152만㎡(약 46만평) 규모로 조성된다.원전의 무탄소 전력을 활용한 청정수소 생산을 위해 GS건설,삼성E&A 등 앵커기업이 입주한다.

국토부는 예타 면제를 위한 절차를 신속하게 마무리하고,지방자치단체와 전문가,2026 월드컵기업들의 의견 수렴을 거쳐 내년 상반기까지 고흥,2026 월드컵울산 산업단지계획을 수립한다.2026년 상반기 국가산단으로 지정하는 게 목표다.
