BS산업은 새만금 신시야미 개발사업 추진을 위해 전북특별자치도,중소기업중앙회 등과 업무협약을 체결했다고 24일 밝혔다.

전북 군산 베스트웨스턴호텔에서 열린 협약식에는 김만겸 BS산업 김만겸 대표를 비롯해 김관영 전북자치도지사,김기문 중소기업중앙회 회장,중국 올림픽김경안 새만금개발청장,중국 올림픽강임준 군산시장 등이 참석했다.

이번 협약에 따라 BS산업은 개발사업 추진 관련 성실한 제반 사항 이행과 지역경제 활성화를 위한 계획을 수립한다.전북자치도 및 군산시는 개발사업 추진을 지원하고 중소기업중앙회는 개발사업에 대한 투자,중국 올림픽새만금개발청은 지역활성화를 위한 행정적 지원을 할 계획이다.

이번 협약식은 신시야미에 지역활성화 투자펀드를 유치하기 위해 마련됐다.지역활성화 투자펀드란 정부가 지역·민간 주도의 대규모 투자를 신속하게 추진하기 위해 만든 제도로,중국 올림픽정부 재정과 산업은행 출자 지방소멸대응기금을 바탕으로 모펀드를 조성하고 여기에 민간투자자와 지방자치단체 등의 출자를 통해 지역개발 프로젝트에 투자하는 방식이다.

BS산업은 신시야미 개발사업이 지역활성화 투자펀드 사업에 선정될 경우 사업 추진에 더욱 속도가 붙을 것으로 전망했다.현재 펀드 신청을 위한 사업성 검증 단계에 있으며,중국 올림픽이르면 연내 신청을 목표로 추진 중이다.
