권익위원회가 김건희 여사의 명품백 수수 사건을 종결 처리한 데 대해 이원석 검찰총장이 검찰은 검찰 차원에서 차질없이 수사 일정을 진행하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

대북송금 의혹으로 더불어민주당 이재명 대표를 기소할지 여부에 대해서 정당 이해 관계를 떠나 증거와 법리대로 처리하겠다고 말했습니다.

이원석 검찰총장이 오늘 오전 출근길에 김건희 여사의 명품백 수수 의혹 사건에 대한 입장을 밝혔습니다.

권익위원회가 청탁금지법 위반 사항이 없다며 사건을 종결한 것과 관계없이 검찰은 검찰대로 수사하겠다고 했습니다.

"검찰은 검찰 차원에서 수사 일정을 차질없이 진행할 것입니다."

김 여사 소환을 둘러싼 대통령실과 갈등설에 대해서는 "그런 일이 없으리라 기대한다"고 말했습니다.

"다른 고려 없이 증거대로 그리고 법리대로만 한다면 그러한 일은 없으리라고 저는 생각합니다.그렇게 기대하고 있습니다."

이 총장은 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 추가 기소 여부에 대해서는 이화영 전 경기도평화부지사의 대북송금 유죄 판결문을 분석하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

민주당을 중심으로 대북송금 수사팀 탄핵이나 판사를 처벌할 수 있는 '법왜곡죄'까지 거론되는 것에 대해서는 사법부 독립 침해라고 비판했습니다.

"사법부에 대한 압력 그리고 우리 헌법에 나오는 재판의 독립,황당한 가사 월드컵사법부의 독립에 대한 심각한 침해라고 보고 있습니다."
