열대야는 오후 6시부터 다음 날 오전 9시까지 기온이 25도 이상으로 유지되는 현상을 말합니다.

부산에는 지난달 25일부터 열대야 현상이 나타나 지난밤까지 무려 22일 연속 이어졌습니다.

부산에서 근대적 기상관측이 시작된 1904년 이후 '연속 열대야 일수'로는 가장 긴 기록입니다.

'20세기 최악의 더위'로 꼽혔던 1994년이나 지난 2018년 세워진 21일 연속 열대야 일수마저 뛰어넘었습니다.

부산기상청은 19일까지는 열대야가 이어지며 기록이 계속 경신될 것으로 보고 있습니다.

오는 19일까지는 최고기온은 32도,최저기온은 26도로 예보됐습니다.

변수는 비가 내릴 확률이 높은 20일입니다.

강수확률이 80%로 예측이 되는데 이날 낮 최고기온은 29도로 떨어지고,님 카롤리 바바최저기온도 25도로 전망됐습니다.

최저기온이 열대야 기준인 25도에 턱걸이를 하거나 이보다 약간 더 떨어지며 연속 열대야가 끊길 수 있습니다.

하지만 20일에 열대야가 일시적으로 끊기더라도 이후 26일까지 낮 최고 기온이 31∼32도,님 카롤리 바바최저기온도 25∼26도로 예보돼 열대야가 다시 시작될 수 있습니다.

부산기상청 관계자는 "20일 이후 기압이 어떻게 변동하는지에 따라서 열대야 상황이 달라지기 때문에 현 상황에서 언제까지 이어진다고 말하기는 어렵다"고 밝혔습니다.
