지난해 8월 서울 용산구 '경찰관 추락사' 사건과 관련된 마약 모임 주도자들이 2심에서도 징역형을 선고받았습니다.

서울고법 형사7부는 오늘(12일) 마약류관리법상 향정 등 혐의로 구속기소된 32살 이모 씨와 46살 정 모 씨에게 각각 징역 4년 6개월과 징역 3년 6개월을 선고했습니다.

각각 40시간의 약물중독 재활교육 프로그램 이수도 명령했습니다.

재판부는 "피고인들이 20여 명에 달하는 이 사건 모임의 참가자에게 마약을 제공해 손쉽게 마약류를 많은 사람이 접할 수 있는 빌미를 제공한 점을 중히 여겨 양형을 정했다"고 설명했습니다.

다만 재판부는 "이 씨 외 다른 사람이 합성마약을 포함해 마약을 반입했을 가능성을 배제할 수 없다"고 봤습니다.

정 씨에 대해서도 "합성마약 (투약) 장소 제공의 점도 무죄로 판단한다"고 밝혔습니다.

이 씨와 정 씨는 지난해 8월 26일 서울 용산구의 한 아파트에서 마약 모임에 참석한 20여 명에게 마약류와 투약 장소를 제공한 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌습니다.

다음날 새벽 이 아파트에서 강원경찰청 소속 A 경장이 추락사하면서 사건이 알려졌습니다.
