중국 해경 "필리핀 선박 고의로 중국 선박과 충돌"
구체적 피해 발생 여부 확인 안돼

17일 중국 해경은 공식 위챗을 통해 “이날 필리핀 보급선 1척이 중국 정부의 허가 없이 난사군도(스프래틀리 군도) 런아이자오 인근 해역에 무단 침입해 중국 해경이 관련 법에 따라 통제 조치를 취했다”고 밝혔다.

중국 해경은 “이날 오전 5시59분께 필리핀 보급선은 중국 측의 수차례 경고를 무시하고‘국제해상충돌예방규칙’을 위반했으며 정상 항행하는 중국 선박에 비전문적 방식으로,램 슬롯 고장고의로 접근해 충돌이 발생했다”며 “관련된 책임은 완전히 필리핀 측에 있다”고 주장했다.

중국 해경은 다만 이날 양국 충돌로 인한 피해 발생 여부에 대해서는 언급하지 않았다.

필리핀 측의 입장도 아직 나오지 않았다.

필리핀은 1999년 세컨드 토머스 암초에 자국 군함이 좌초했다며 해당 선박을 지킨다는 명분으로 10명 안팎의 해병대원을 상주시키고 있다.중국은 필리핀이 불법으로 암초를 점거하고 영구 점령을 추진하고 있다고 주장하며 좌초 군함을 예인하라고 요구해 왔다.

최근들어 중국 해경선이 물대포 등으로 강경 대응하면서 필리핀 선박이 파괴되는 사건이 발생하기도 했다.
