의사협회와 대한의학회,마닐라 호텔 카지노의대교수들이 참여한 '올바른 의료를 위한 특별위원회'가 사실상 휴진을 결정했습니다.

올특위는 "오는 7월 26일 전 직역이 참여하는 대토론회를 전국적으로 개최할 예정"이라고 했습니다.

"의사들이 이제 주체가 돼서 의료개혁을 우리가 직접 만들어야 되겠다는 데 오늘 공감을 했고요."

전면 휴진 강행 의사를 전국 대토론회란 방식을 통해 간접적으로 드러낸 겁니다.

올특위는 정부의 의대 증원을 비판하며 전공의와 의대생 요구안 수용을 거듭 요구했습니다.

동시에 집단행동까지 약 한 달이 남아있다는 점을 강조했습니다.

"아직 7월 26일이기 때문에 시간도 많이 있고 남아 있기 때문에 지금 생각하시는 것처럼 그런 우려가 그렇게 크지는 않으리라고 생각됩니다."

정부의 태도 변화에 따라 집단행동을 거둘 수 있다는 뜻으로 보입니다.

의료계는 지난 18일 총궐기대회를 열고 제1차 전면 휴진에 들어갔지만 개원의 휴진 참여율이 15%에 그쳤습니다.

무기한 휴진에 돌입한 세브란스병원도 큰 진료 차질은 나타나지 않고 있다는 관측이 나옵니다.
