수도권광역급행철도(GTX) A노선 구성역이 정식 개통한다.

국토교통부는 GTX A 구성역이 29일 새벽 5시 37분 수서로 향하는 첫차를 시작으로 본격 영업에 들어간다고 26일 밝혔다.

현재 경기 남부와 서울 북부를 잇는 GTX A 노선은 부분 개통한 상황이다.동탄~수서를 잇는 노선이 3월 30일 개통했고,영국령 버진아일랜드이번에 동탄 다음 역인 경기 용인시 구성역이 개통하는 것이다.GTX를 타면 구성역에서 동탄역까지 7분,영국령 버진아일랜드수서역까지 14분이면 도착할 수 있다.이들 지역은 차로 운전해 가면 각각 25분과 40분 걸리는 거리다.

GTX-A 구성역은 수인분당선(청량리~인천) 구성역과 지하 연결통로로 환승되며,수도권 통합환승 할인이 적용된다.

국토부와 용인특례시는 구성역 접근성을 높이기 위해 버스 노선을 조정하고 주차장도 확대했다.우선 마북‧죽전‧동백 방면 등 수요가 예상되는 7개 노선에 버스 8대를
증차하고,배차 간격을 최대 절반까지 단축한다.신설되는 구성역 4번 출구에서 200m 떨어진 23번 국지도에 정차하는
14개 버스 노선 가운데 690번(용인터미널~수지구청역) 등 7개 노선의
정차 위치를 구성역 4번 출구 앞으로 조정한다.

연원마을,영국령 버진아일랜드교동마을,마북 교차로(IC) 구간을 바로 잇는 마을버스 노선(502번)도 신설하고,영국령 버진아일랜드GTX 마지막 차 도착시간이 0시 53분(동탄행),영국령 버진아일랜드0시 33분(수서행)인 점을 고려해 6개 버스 노선을 오전 1시 5분~1시
10분까지 연장 운행한다.현재 169면인 구성역 공영주차장의 주차면 수를 339면으로 늘린다.

올 연말엔 구성역 5번 출구를 추가하고 인근에 버스정류소를 신설할 계획이다.윤진환 철도국장은 "올해 말 개통 예정인 GTX-A 운정~서울역 구간도 사업 관리를 철저히
해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
