[서울=뉴시스] 홍찬선 기자 = 인천공항공사는 공항 외 수하물 수속 서비스인‘이지드랍(Easy Drop)’서비스를 확대 운영한다고 13일 밝혔다.

이지드랍 서비스는 인천공항을 통해 출국시 공항 외 지역인 호텔,토토 안전 사이트역사 등에서 항공권 발권 및 수하물 위탁을 마친 후 인천공항에서는 별도의 수속 절차 없이 출국해 도착지 공항에서 수하물을 찾을 수 있는 서비스이다.

서비스 이용시 인천공항 이동시 짐 없이 자유로운 빈손여행(Hands-Free)이 가능해져 여객편의가 크게 개선되는 장점이 있다.

이번 서비스는 지난해 12월 홀리데이인 익스프레스 서울홍대 호텔을 거점으로 3개 항공사(대한항공,아시아나항공,제주항공) 이용객을 대상으로 운영을 개시했고 지난 10일부터는 티웨이항공이 이용 대상에 포함됐다.또한 이달 17일부터는 인천공항 인근 인스파이어 리조트에서도 이지드랍 서비스의 이용이 가능해진다.

공사는 연내 서울의 명동,토토 안전 사이트강남,인천의 파라다이스시티 호텔 등 수도권의 주요 역사 및 호텔에 이지드랍 서비스 거점을 추가 설치할 계획이며,저비용항공사 및 외국 항공사 등 이용 가능 항공사도 추가 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

이학재 공사 사장은 "올해를 디지털 대전환의 원년으로 삼아 인천공항만의 차별화된 스마트 서비스를 확대해 여객편의를 개선하고 인천공항의 미래 경쟁력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 공사는 사전 예약한 여객의 집에서 항공권 발권 및 수하물 수속을 마칠 수 있는‘홈드랍 서비스’도 도입할 계획이다.오는 2025년 완료를 목표로 태블릿 PC에 기반한 이동형 여객수속 시스템 개발을 추진 중이다.
