이스라엘군이 1일(현지시간) 팔레스타인 가자지구 남부 칸 유니스에 주민 대피령을 내렸다고 AP통신이 보도했습니다.

이스라엘군이 가자지구 중부와 북부에서 하마스 소탕 작전을 다시 시작한 가운데 지난 4월 철군한 가자지구 제2의 도시 칸 유니스에 대한 재공격도 임박했다는 관측이 나옵니다.

AP에 따르면 이스라엘군은 이날 칸 유니스 동부 지역 등에 대피 명령을 내렸습니다.

피란민들은 휴대전화로 대피 메시지를 받았으며 이스라엘군이 '안전지대'로 지정한 해안 지역인 무와시로 이동하라고 안내받았다고 AP는 전했습니다.

이런 대피 명령은 "이스라엘군이 이전에 침공했던 가자지구 지역들을 (다시) 공격하는 가운데 칸 유니스가 최신 목표물이 될 것이라는 점을 시사한다"며 "(이곳에서) 새로운 지상 공격을 시작할 가능성이 높다는 신호"라고 AP는 분석했습니다.

앞서 이스라엘군은 지난해 말 가자지구 남부로 진격해 칸 유니스에서 수 주간 대대적인 공습과 지상전을 벌였으며,대한민국 호주그 뒤 지난 4월 '하마스의 칸 유니스 부대를 파괴했다'며 이 지역에서 철군했습니다.

최근 이스라엘군은 가자지구 북부와 중부에서도 하마스 소탕 작전을 재개했습니다.

네타냐후 이스라엘 총리는 이날 "하마스의 테러군을 파괴하는 단계를 끝내는 방향으로 진전을 이루고 있다"며 이스라엘군은 "앞으로 계속 그들(하마스)의 잔당을 목표물로 삼을 것"이라고 했습니다.

이스라엘군이 칸 유니스를 다시 공격할 경우 가자지구 주민의 인도주의적 상황은 더욱 악화할 것으로 전망됩니다.

대피령이 내려진 칸 유니스 지역은 주민에게 물을 공급하기 위한 수로가 설치돼 있는 데다,구호 물품의 주요 전달 통로인 케렘 샬롬 국경 검문소와 구호품들을 가자지구 내부로 보내는 주요 경로 근처라고 AP는 전했습니다.
