질병관리청이 오늘(18일) 자로 전국에 말라리아주의보를 발령했습니다.

질병청에 따르면 올해 23주 차(6월 2∼8일) 기준 국내 말라리아 위험지역에서 채집한 말라리아 매개모기인 '얼룩날개모기' 수가 3개 시·군 이상에서 주의보 기준에 도달했습니다.

주의보는 '모기지수'가 0.5 이상인 시·군·구가 3곳 이상인 경우에 발령됩니다.모기지수는 모기를 유인해 채집하는 유문등(Black Light Trap) 1대당 하룻밤에 채집된 모기의 평균 개체 수입니다.

질병청은 올해부터 말라리아 위험지역을 서울·인천·경기·강원 4개 시도 내 53개 시군구로 확대해 관리 중입니다.

질병청이 말라리아 위험지역 53개 시군구 내 61개 지점에서 감시한 결과 강화군,이상형 월드컵 - 움짤파주시,이상형 월드컵 - 움짤철원군 등 3곳이 말라리아 주의보 발령 기준을 충족했습니다.

올해 주의보 발령은 지난해 대비 한주 이른 것으로 나타났습니다.

질병청은 말라리아 위험지역의 23주 차 최고 기온(27.3도)이 평년 및 전년 대비 약 2도 높아져 모기의 활동이 다소 빨라졌기 때문으로 해석했습니다.

올해 신고된 국내 말라리아 환자는 23주까지 총 101명으로 지난해 같은 기간 137명 대비 26.3% 감소했습니다.

지역별 환자 발생 현황은 경기(60.4%),이상형 월드컵 - 움짤인천(14.9%),서울(12.9%) 순이었습니다.역학조사 결과 주요 감염지역으로 추정되는 곳은 경기(파주시·김포시·연천군·고양시 일산서구),이상형 월드컵 - 움짤인천(강화군)입니다.

지영미 질병청장은 "말라리아 매개모기가 지속해 증가할 것으로 예상되므로 위험지역에서는 매개모기 방제를 강화하고 모기에게 물리지 않도록 주의해달라"며 "말라리아 위험지역 주민은 의심 증상 발생 시 가까운 보건소 등 의료기관에서 검사받아야 한다"고 강조했습니다.

이어 "말라리아 증상은 비특이적이기 때문에 위험지역 내 의료기관에서는 원인을 알 수 없는 발열 환자 방문 시 말라리아를 의심해 검사해달라"고 요청했습니다.

말라리아를 예방하기 위해서는 모기가 활발하게 활동하는 야간 시간대 활동을 자제하고,밤에 외출할 때는 밝은 긴 소매와 긴 바지를 착용하는 게 좋습니다.방충망을 정비해 집 안에 모기 침입을 막는 것도 중요합니다.
