[서울=뉴시스]이지용 기자 = LG전자가 장애인 인식 개선 및 스포츠 활성화를 통해 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 비전 '모두의 더 나은 삶'을 실천한다.

LG전자는 28일 서울 여의나루 한강공원에서 '서울시 릴레이 기부 챌린지 런' 기부금 전달식을 갖고,해외 축구 보기서울시 및 서울시체육회와 장애인의 생활 체육 활성화를 위한 사회공헌 업무협약을 체결했다.

서울시 릴레이 기부 챌린지 런은 지난 2월부터 LG전자가 서울시,해외 축구 보기서울시체육회와 진행해 온 사회공헌 캠페인이다.서울 여의도 일대에서 달리기 챌린지를 열어,해외 축구 보기누적 거리 1㎞당 100원씩 장애인과 운동 약자의 생활 체육 지원을 위한 기부금을 조성한다.

약 4개월간 총 1만2000여명의 시민들이 참여했으며,해외 축구 보기총 누적 거리 30만㎞를 돌파해 LG전자가 총 3000만원의 기부금을 마련했다.

기부금은 이날 업무협약에 따라 장애인의 생활 체육 활성화를 돕는 프레임러너 마라톤 챌린지’운영에 활용된다.

오는 10월까지 장애인 재활체육 사회적 기업 '좋은운동장'과의 협업으로 뇌병변 장애인과 비장애인이 팀을 이뤄 프레임러닝 훈련을 진행하고,해외 축구 보기11월 10km 이하 마라톤 완주에 도전하는 데 쓰인다.프레임러닝은 페달 없는 프레임을 이용해 달리는 자전거 스포츠다.

윤대식 LG전자 대외협력담당 전무는 "앞으로도 장애인과 비장애인의 구분 없이 모두가 더 나은 삶을 영위하는 데 도움이 될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다 할 것"이라고 말했다.
