[앵커]

환자 곁을 떠나지 말아 달라는 거듭된 호소에도 서울의대 교수들이 무기한 휴진에 들어가자 환자들의 불안감은 더 커지고 있습니다.

일부 단체에선 환자들에게 피해가 발생한다면 손해배상도 고려하겠다는 이야기도 나왔습니다.

박광식 의학전문기자입니다.

[리포트]

서울대 병원을 찾은 환자들.진료는 받았지만 '무기한 휴진' 소식에 가슴을 졸일 수밖에 없습니다.

[김○○/전이암 환자/음성변조 : "다음 주에 치료할지 결정을 해야 하는데 지금 그거를 할 수 있을지,없을지 모르는 상태니까 많이 불안하죠."]

[이○○/뇌종양 환자/음성변조 : "심리적으로 더 불안하고 의사 선생님들 좀 다시 돌아오셔서 환자들에게 희망을 줬으면 좋겠습니다."]

이렇게 '무기한 휴진'으로 환자의 불안이 가중되면 투병 의지는 꺾일 수밖에 없습니다.

환자단체연합회는 의료계가 정부를 압박하는 수단으로 환자의 불안과 피해를 이용하는 거라면 어떤 이유로도 정당화될 수 없다고 비판했습니다.

[안기종/한국환자단체연합회 대표 : "환자 있는 곳에 의사가 있어야 된다고 생각하거든요.그런데 의사가 없는 이유가 환자의 치료 때문이 아니라 정부 정책에 반대하는 거라면 맞지 않는 것 같습니다."]

양대 노총 산하 의료노조도 집단 휴진을 비판했습니다.

[최희선/보건의료노조 위원장 : "의사들은 명분 없는 집단 휴진을 즉각 중단하고 올바른 의료개혁에 나설 수 있도록…."]

집단 휴진으로 환자 피해 발생 시 손해배상도 언급했습니다.

[신승일/전국의료산업노동조합연맹 위원장 : "진료 거부,슬롯 머신 ㅏㄱ집단 휴진이라는 불법적 행위로 환자와 일반직 의료 노동자들에게 손해가 발생된다면 불법 행위에 대한 손해배상을 청구할 것입니다."]

천주교,슬롯 머신 ㅏㄱ기독교 등 종교계도 한 목소리로 의료계의 집단 휴진을 철회해달라고 촉구했습니다.
