최저임금위원회가 25일 제5차 전원회의를 열고 '구분 적용' 여부를 논의했지만 노사간 이견을 좁히지 못했습니다.

법정 심의기한까지 단 한 번의 회의를 앞두고도 최저임금 수준 논의는 시작도 하지 못한 상태여서,바카라 사설올해도 '늑장 심의'가 불가피해 보입니다.

최임위는 이날 오후 3시부터 제5차 전원회의를 시작해 3시간 가량 논의를 이어갔습니다.

최임위는 오후 6시30분경 보도참고자료를 통해 "최저임금의 사업의 종류별 구분 여부에 대해 논의했지만 근로자와 사용자 위원 양측의 이견을 좁히지 못해 추후 다시 논의하기로 했다"고 전했습니다.

최임위는 업종별 구분 적용 여부를 결정해야 임금 수준 심의에 들어갈 수 있습니다.

업종별 구분 적용 여부는 매년 노사간 의견이 첨예한 안건으로,바카라 사설매년 표결로 결정됩니다.앞서 지난해의 경우 표결 끝에 업종별 구분 적용은 하지 않는 것으로 결정됐습니다.

최임위는 "위원장은 다음 전원회의(27일)까지 업종별 구분 적용 논의의 진전을 위한 사용자 측의 구체적인 안과 최저임금 수준 논의를 위한 노·사의 최초 제시안 준비를 요청했다"고 설명했습니다.

제6차 전원회의는 올해 최임위 법정 심의기한인 오는 27일 오후 3시 정부세종청사에서 진행될 예정입니다.

최임위는 지난 1988년 최저임금제 도입 이후 단 9번만 법정 심의기한 내 심의를 마쳤습니다.
