(인천=연합뉴스) 신민재 기자 = 인천시와 강원특별자치도가 미래 먹거리로 꼽히는 바이오·반도체 등 첨단산업을 집중 육성하기 위해 손을 잡았다.

유정복 인천시장과 김진태 강원도지사는 13일 인천시청에서 '첨단산업 분야 협력 업무협약'을 체결했다.

인천시와 강원도는 협약에 따라 가칭 '대한민국 바이오 첨단산업벨트' 구축을 선도할 계획이다.

또 함께 협력해 바이오 국가첨단전략산업 특화단지를 조성하고 바이오 연구개발 및 기업 간 오픈이노베이션(개방형 혁신) 지원,차민수 도박사산업 규제 해소 등을 추진한다.

아울러 반도체 분야에서는 전문인력 양성에 힘을 모으고 산업 생태계 조성을 위한 인프라 구축과 공동 활용에 주력한다.

이밖에 지역 반도체 기업·기관 네트워크 구축과 협력사업 개발도 지원할 예정이다.

앞서 인천시와 강원도는 지난 3월 국내 첨단산업을 선도하고 지방소멸 위기에 공동대응하기 위한 우호 교류 협약을 맺었다.

이번 세부 협약은 두 기관의 첨단산업 분야 협력 실천과제를 구체화한 것이다.

김 지사는 협약식에 앞서 인천시 공직자 200여명을 대상으로 '인천·강원 함께하는 미래'를 주제로 특강을 열고 강원도의 주요 정책 방향과 비전을 소개했다.

유 시장은 "이번 협약을 계기로 인천시와 강원특별자치도가 다양한 분야에서 지역 발전을 함께하고 상생해 나가길 바란다"라고 말했다.
