강요 못이긴 여성들 경찰에 고발…경찰 "여죄 추궁 중…성매수남도 조사"

유흥업소 여성 종업원들에게 불법 성매매를 강요한 업주 2명이 경찰에 구속됐다.

경북 포항북부경찰서는 19일 성매매 알선 등 행위의 처벌에 관한 법률 위반 등 혐의로 업주 A(46·남) 씨와 B (48·여) 씨를 구속했다고 밝혔다.

경찰에 따르면 동업관계인 이들은 여성 종업원 2명에게 선불금으로 빌려간 3천만원을 갚도록 압력을 행사하며 1년간 성매매를 강요한 혐의를 받고 있다.

피해 여성들은 A씨 등의 성매매 강요가 갈수록 심해지자 지난 3월 경찰에 고발했다.

A씨 등은 2019년부터 포항시 북구 죽도동 유흥업소 거리인 이른바 '서부시장'에 2개 업소를 차리고 현재까지 운영 중인 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰은 앞서 업소에 대한 압수수색에서 성매매 등 영업 장부를 확보했으며,토토 라벤더성매수자 2명도 찾아내 조사를 벌이고 있다.

경찰은 A씨 등의 추가 범행이 있는지 여죄를 추궁하고 있다.
