[서울=뉴시스] 박대로 기자 = 인천공항과 김포공항 등에서 서울 시내로 진입하는 자동차전용도로 주변에 '환영'의 의미가 담긴 꽃길이 조성됐다.

서울시설공단(이사장 한국영)은 올림픽대로와 강변북로 서울 진입로에 올해 서울색인 '스카이코랄' 계통 꽃길을 조성해 서울을 찾는 방문객을 환영한다고 28일 밝혔다.

스카이코랄색은 서울시가 선정한 올해 서울색이다.이 색은 시민이 여가 활동을 하기 위해 찾는 한강에서 볼 수 있는 분홍빛 하늘에서 추출된 색상이다.

이번에 조성된 꽃길은 올림픽대로 개화 나들목(IC)에서 88분기점 사이 약 1㎞,강변북로 가양대교 인근과 한강대교~동작대교 사이 약 2.3㎞ 구간에 조성된다.

다음달 말까지는 코랄작약,fc 로리앙 경기아주가,핑크 안개꽃,붉은 메밀꽃,베고니아 등을 심는다.

가을에는 백일홍과 황화 코스모스를,fc 로리앙 경기봄에는 코랄작약과 꽃양귀비 등을 심어 계절별로 다른 정취를 즐길 수 있다.

공단은 내년까지 추가로 환영 꽃길을 조성한다.공단은 관광객 등이 유입되는 동선을 고려해 우선순위를 정할 방침이다.

한국영 서울시설공단 이사장은 "차창 너머 만나는 서울이라는 도시의 첫인상이 화사한 꽃을 통해 더욱 매력적으로 느껴질 것으로 기대한다"며 "앞으로도 서울시설공단은 서울을 한층 더 매력적인 도시로 만드는 데 힘을 보태기 위해 다각적인 노력을 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
