이날 결혼평등법 안은 최종 독회 표결에서 152명 상원의원 중 130명이 찬성했다.4명이 반대 그리고 18명이 기권했다.

통과된 법안은 국왕의 공식 재가를 거쳐 관보 게재 후 발효된다.

이달 초 방콕 도심에서 수천 명이 참가한 방콕 프라이드 퍼레이드를 정부가 적극 지원했다.
