대한의사협회(의협)가 오는 18일 집단 휴진을 예고한 가운데,아시안컵 미국에서서울아산병원 교수들도 다음 달 4일부터 일주일간 휴진을 결의했다.소위 '빅5' 불리는 대형 상급종합병원들의 휴진이 확산하면서 환자들의 불안감은 더 커지고 있다.

울산대학교 의과대학 교수 비상대책위원회(비대위)는 17일 서울아산병원 교수들을 대상으로 앞으로의 행동 방안에 대한 설문을 조사한 결과 설문 대상자의 79.1%(369명)가 "7월 4일 휴진에 찬상한다"고 답했다며 이같이 밝혔다.

휴진 기간을 두고는 "일주일 휴진 후 정부 정책에 따라 연장 조정"이라는 응답이 절반을 넘는 54.0%,아시안컵 미국에서"무기한 휴진"이 30.2%로 나타났다.

비대위에 따르면 서울아산병원 교수들 가운데 절반이 넘는 60.9%(225명)는 의협 주도로 의료계 전면 휴진과 의사 총궐기대회가 열리는 18일에 휴진을 하거나 연차를 내 진료를 보지 않는 등 일정을 조정한 것으로 전해졌다.

비대위는 "설문 대상 중 진료를 보는 나머지 교수 164명 중에서도 136명(82.9%)은 '사정상 실질적인 휴직은 어려웠지만 휴진을 지지한다'고 답했다"고 설명했다.

앞서 서울대병원과 서울대 의대 교수들은 17일부터 무기한 휴진에 들어갔으며 연세의료원 산하 세브란스 병원 3곳은 오는 27일부터 무기한 휴진에 돌입할 전망이다.
