셀트리온의 스텔라라 바이오시밀러(바이오의약품 복제약)‘스테키마’가 유럽 허가당국으로부터 1일 승인 권고 의견을 받았다.

미국 존슨앤드존슨의 자회사 얀센이 개발한 스텔라라는 판상 건선,바이에른뮌핸건선성 관절염,바이에른뮌핸크론병 등의 치료제로 쓰인다.지난해 글로벌 매출은 108억5800만달러(약 14조원)다.

셀트리온은 유럽의약품청(EMA) 산하 약물사용자문위원회(CHMP)로부터 스테키마 품목 허가‘승인 권고’의견을 받았다.

CHMP의 의견은 최종 승인 여부를 결정하는 유럽연합 집행위원회(EC)에 작지 않은 영향을 미치기 때문에 사실상 승인이 기대되는 상황이라고 회사 측은 설명했다.

셀트리온은 지난달 국내에서도 식품의약품안전처로부터 스테키마 허가를 획득해 판매를 위한 세부절차를 진행 중이다.
