이달 말 종료될 예정이었던‘유류세 인하’조치가 2개월 더 연장된다.다만 국제 유가 안정화 추세를 반영해 인하율은 축소된다.

최상목 부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관은 17일 “오는 30일 종료 예정이었던 유류세의 한시적 이하조치를 오는 8월31일까지 2개월 연장한다”면서 “다만 휘발유 인하율은 현재 25%에서 20%로,토바이어스 해리스경유는 37%에서 30%로 조정한다”고 밝혔다.

인하율 변경에 따라 휘발유 유류세는 ℓ당 615원에서 656원으로 높아진다.경유는 ℓ당 369원에서 407원으로,토바이어스 해리스액화석유가스(LPG) 부탄은 ℓ당 130원에서 142원으로 조정된다.발전용 액화천연가스(LNG)와 유연탄에 대한 개별소비세 15% 인하 조치도 올해 말까지 추가 연장된다.

최 부총리는 “최근 국제 유가 하락 및 소비자 물가 안정화 추세,토바이어스 해리스국가 재정에 미치는 영향 등을 고려해 유류세 인하 폭 축소를 결정했다”면서 “국제 정세와 국민 유류비 부담,토바이어스 해리스유가 및 물가 동향 등을 고려해 추후 추가 연장 여부를 결정하겠다”고 했다.

한편 정부는 국제유가가 급등했던 2021년 11월부터 휘발유·경유에 대한 유류세 한시적 인하 조치를 시행한 뒤 일몰 기한을 계속 연장해 왔다.지난해 1월부터는 휘발유 25%,토바이어스 해리스경유 37%의 인하율이 유지됐다.
