(계룡=연합뉴스) 이주형 기자 = 재단법인 천안함재단은 배우 이영애 씨가 목숨을 바쳐 헌신한 분들을 기리는 데 써달라며 5천만원을 기부했다고 17일 밝혔다.

천안함재단에 따르면 이씨는 호국보훈의 달,6월을 맞아 재단 측에 기부금을 전달하며 "국가를 위해 목숨 바쳐 헌신한 분들께 항상 감사하다"며 "이들의 숭고한 희생을 기리고 기억하는데 사용됐으면 좋겠다"고 밝혔다.

2010년 국민 성금으로 설립된 천안함재단은 천안함 46용사 추모,유가족 지원,마동석 야구피격 당시 천안함 승조원들의 사회 정착 등을 지원하는 비영리 공익법인이다.

천안함재단 관계자는 "소중한 기부에 감사드린다"며 "천안함 용사를 기억하고,마동석 야구유가족과 참전 장병을 돕는 데 사용하겠다"고 밝혔다.
