(서울=연합뉴스) 최윤선 기자 = 7월부터 약 2만명의 서울시 아동·청소년이 추가로 서울런 강의를 들을 수 있게 된다.

서울시는 내달 1일부터 서울런에 가입할 수 있는 소득 기준을 기존 중위소득 50%에서 60% 이하로 완화하고 국가보훈대상자와 북한이탈주민 자녀까지로 대상을 확대한다고 30일 밝혔다.

기존에는 기초생활수급자 또는 중위소득 50% 이하 차상위계층 가구의 6∼24세가 지원 대상이었다.이번 지원 대상 확대로 수강 가능 대상자는 10만명에서 12만명으로 늘어날 전망이다.

2021년 8월 도입된 서울런은 사회·경제적 이유로 사교육을 받기 어려운 취약계층에 유명 사설 인터넷 강의와 일대일 멘토링 서비스를 제공하는 교육복지사업이다.오세훈 시장의 대표적인 '약자와의 동행' 정책 중 하나다.

시는 향후 서울런 지원 대상의 소득 기준을 85% 이하까지 확대할 계획이다.

아울러 국가보훈대상자·북한이탈주민 자녀 지원을 시작으로 10월에는 가족 돌봄 청년과 서울시교육청 '꿀맛무지개교실'을 이용하는 장애 학생,챔피언스리그 포인트가정 폭력 방지·피해자 보호시설 보호아동,챔피언스리그 포인트관외 아동 보호시설 입소 아동까지 서울런을 수강할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.

이를 위해 사회보장기본법에 따라 보건복지부와 사회보장제도 변경 협의를 거치고 '서울시 온라인 평생교육 운영에 관한 조례'에 지원 근거를 마련하기 위해 개정 절차를 진행 중이라고 시는 설명했다.

서울런은 공식 홈페이지(slearn.seoul.go.kr)에서 자격을 확인하고 가입·이용하면 된다.

구종원 서울시 평생교육국장은 "앞으로도 서울런이 서울시민의 튼튼한 교육 사다리 역할을 할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다.
