노동계가 내년도 최저임금을 올해 9860원 보다 27.8% 올린 1만2600원으로 인상돼야 한다고 주장했다.경영계는 올해와 같은 9860원 동결로 맞섰다.

9일 최저임금위원회는 이날 정부세종청사에서 열린 제9차 전원회의에서 노동계를 대표하는 근로자위원과 경영계를 대표하는 사용자위원이 내년도 최저임금 최초요구안을 제출했다고 밝혔다.매년 최저임금을 정하는 최저임금위는 근로자·사용자·공익위원 9명씩 27명으로 구성된 회의체다.

최임위는 노사 최초요구안을 두고 본격적인 수준 심의에 돌입한다.수준 심의는 노사가 최초요구안을 양보하는 식으로 차이를 좁히는 방식으로 이뤄진다.
