28일 홍콩 사우스차이나모닝포스트(SCMP)에 따르면 이날 런던증권거래소그룹(LSEG)이 발표한 상반기 글로벌 증시 IPO 순위에서 홍콩증권거래소는 전년 동기보다 4계단 떨어진 13위를 기록했다.상반기 총 27개 기업이 홍콩 증시에서 IPO를 통해 15억달러(2조685억원)를 조달했다.이는 전년 상반기보다 35% 줄어든 규모이자 사스(SARS·중증급성호흡기증후군)가 강타했던 2003년 상반기의 8억200만달러(1조1000억원) 이후 최저 규모다.

지난해 글로벌 IPO 시장의 주인공이었던 중국 본토 증시도 순위가 급락했다.상하이증권거래소는 13억달러(1조8000억원) 규모,9개 IPO를 유치해 15위에 올랐다.지난해 상반기 같은 조사에서 1위를 차지했던 상하이 과학기술혁신거래소(STAR·科創板)는 올해 7억100만달러(9670억원) 규모,카지노 몬트리올 프로모션단 6개의 IPO를 유치하는 데 그쳐 20위로 추락했다.선전 차이넥스트도 지난해 2위에서 16위로 추락했고,선전 증권거래소는 3개의 IPO만 유치해 26위로 떨어졌다.

SCMP는 홍콩 증시의 2분기 조달 자금이 1분기 조달 자금보다 40%가량 많아 상황이 개선되고 있다고 설명했다.글로벌회계법인 언스트앤드영(EY)은 단기적으로 중국 본토 시장에서 IPO 활동은 여전히 경직될 것이라면서도,중국 정부의 지원정책 덕에 홍콩 증시 IPO는 3분기 크게 늘어날 수 있다고 내다봤다.중국 당국은 자국 증시 부진을 타개하기 위해 올해 상반기 일련의 증시 부양책을 내놓았다.
