[헤럴드경제(안동)=김병진 기자]경북 동해안 해수욕장이 다음달 6일부터 순차적으로 개방된다.

경북도는 17일 영덕 장사해수욕장 종합상황실에서 경북소방본부,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업보건환경연구원,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업해경,시·군 담당자 등이 참석한 가운데 도내 24개 주요 해수욕장의 개장 준비 점검 회의를 개최했다.

이날 회의에서는 최근 때이른 더위로 피서객이 증가할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 시·군별 해수욕장 운영 계획,경북소방본부 및 포항·울진 해경의 안전 관련 지원 사항 등 종합적인 준비 상황을 점검했다.

경북 동해안 해수욕장의 경우 포항 7개 해수욕장이 이른 7월 6일 개장을 시작으로 경주 4,영덕 7,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업울진 6개 등 나머지 17개 해수욕장은 7월 12일 개장해 8월 18일까지 38~44일간 운영한다.

도내 해수욕장 방문객 수는 2021년 41만명,2022년 53만명,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업2023년 68만명이다.

경북도는 안전한 해수욕장 조성을 위해 안전관리 요원과 안전 장비를 배치하고,개장 전 수질 및 토양오염 조사를 완료할 계획이다.

특히 동해안에 상어가 출몰할 것을 대비해 상어 방지 그물망 및 안내판 등은 개장 전에 모두 설치할 계획이다.

경북도는 올해 처음 개장하는 포항 신창 해수욕장 개장식(7월 6일) 및 영일대 샌드페스티벌,구룡포 오징어맨손잡기체험,경주 한여름밤의 음악축제,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업영덕 고래불 해수욕장 비치사커대회,갈라타사라이 대 파티흐 카라귐뤼크 라인업울진 구산 여름밤바다축제 등 크고 작은 이벤트를 준비할 계획이다.

이경곤 환동해지역본부 해양수산국장은 "경북 동해안 해수욕장을 방문하는 관광객들에게 안전하고 쾌적하게 해수욕장을 이용할 수 있도록 개장 전 화장실,샤워장 등 시설 보수와 상어 그물망 설치를 완료하도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
