평택시는 13일 온라인 브리핑을 통해 이런 내용을 담은 '지하 주차장 전기차 화재 대응계획'을 발표했다.

시는 브리핑에서 9월부터 건축심의를 받는 아파트 등 공동주택은 원칙적으로 전기차 주차장을 지상에 설치하도록 한다.불가피하게 지하에 전기차 주차장을 설치해야 할 경우 주차구획을 집단화해 방화벽으로 해당 구획을 둘러싸는 방안을 소방서와 협의해 진행할 계획이다.

기존 공동주택 단지에 대해서도 지하에 마련된 전기차 주차장이나 충전 시설을 지상으로 이전할 경우 기존에 시행 중인 공동주택 지원사업을 통해 이전 비용을 지원할 방침이다.
