문화유산 보존·활용·정비 선순환…종합정비계획 수립

광주시는 마한유적체험관에서 '신창동 유적 종합정비계획 수립을 위한 원탁회의'를 열고 문화유산 보존·활용·정비 방안을 논의했다고 9일 밝혔다.

광주시와 광산구는 종합정비계획에 유적과 도시 특성이 반영된 청사진이 제시될 수 있도록 선순환 체계를 구축한다.

또 신창동 유적은 전체 면적의 30% 정도가 발굴됨에 따라 미조사 구역에 대한 체계적인 발굴과 조사·연구방향을 설정한다.

신창동 유적 주변의 가로등,로또 중복당첨 세금보도블록,로또 중복당첨 세금버스정류장 등을 유적 특색을 반영한 시설물로 정비한다.

이 밖에도 신창동 일원에 마한역사문화마을,로또 중복당첨 세금신창나루 역사공원,로또 중복당첨 세금목책성벽,농경지 등을 복원해 역사문화공원으로 조성하고 영산강 수변공원에 숙박·캠핑·연수시설을 확충해 영산강·황룡강 Y-벨트사업과 연계 방안도 모색한다.

형광일 문화유산자원과장은 "신창동 유적은 광주의 고대문화인 마한의 생활유적이 보존돼 있는 보고"라며 "국가유산청,광산구와 함께 신창동 유적을 잘 정비해 마한이 이룬 풍요와 번영의 역사가 광주에 재현될 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

한편 국가 사적은 '사적 종합정비계획의 수립·시행에 관한 지침'에 따라 10년 주기로 '유적종합정비계획'을 수립해야 한다.
