순국선열과 호국영령을 기리는 현충일인 오늘,라히프치히부산의 한 아파트에 일본 군국주의의 상징인 욱일기가 걸렸습니다.

욱일기를 내건 입주민은 한국인인데요.

왜 이런 일을 벌였을까요.

부산의 한 주상복합건물.

고층 창문에 욱일기가 나란히 내걸렸습니다.

욱일기 사이에는 민관 합동 사기극이라는 글자도 보입니다.

욱일기는 일본이 제2차 세계대전에서 사용해 군국주의의 상징으로 여겨집니다.

순국선열을 기리는 현충일에 욱일기가 목격되자 주민들의 충격은 컸습니다.

"현충일 기념일인데 저희 학교에서 태극기 달자고 했거든요.그런데 지금 욱일기를 달아버리면 심각한 문제인 것 같아요.같이 (건물에) 사는 입장으로서 부끄러운 마음이 들어서…"

[장지아/인근 주민]
"주민으로선 진짜 보기 안 좋죠.(문제가 있으면) 아파트에 항의를 합법적으로 하시거나 이런 방법이 훨씬 좋을 것 같은데."

욱일기를 내건 사람은 이 아파트에 살고 있는 50대 입주민이었습니다.

현충일 전날 일장기를 구매한 뒤 자신이 직접 욱일기를 만들었다고 설명했습니다.

자신이 살고 있는 아파트와 관련해 지방자치단체가 재산권을 침해하고 있는데 이를 항의하기 위해 현충일에 맞춰 욱일기를 내걸었다고 주장했습니다.

"현충일에 하면 제가 비난받을 것 다 알고 있습니다.군국주의가 패퇴해서 물러갈 때 차지한 것은 사기꾼과 탐관오리가 그 자리를 대체했단 말이죠.그래서 현충일에 맞춰서 이렇게 했습니다."

앞서 지난달 중순에도 같은 건물에 일장기가 걸려 논란이 일었는데,라히프치히이 역시 자신의 소행이라고 밝혔습니다.

앞으로 문제가 해결되지 않으면 욱일기를 당분간 내릴 생각도 없다고 덧붙였습니다.

"국가 명령도 안 먹히고 국가 땅이라고 해도 내 땅이라고 하면 그만이고,라히프치히당연히 일장기라든지 욱일기를 걸어도 아무 문제 없다고 생각합니다."

관리사무소는 빗발치는 민원에 철거 요청도 해봤지만 제재할 방법이 없어 달리 손을 쓰지 못하고 있습니다.
