벤츠코리아는 이날 오전 홈페이지에 자사 전기차 16개 차종별 배터리 제조사 정보를 공개했다.앞서 국내 자동차 업체 중 현대차·기아가 선제적으로 전기차 배터리 제조사 정보를 공개했고 수입차 브랜드 중에서는 BMW코리아가 전날 배터리 정보를 공개했다.벤츠는 당초 영업비밀을 이유로 배터리 제조사 정보 공개를 꺼렸으나 소비자들의 요구가 잇따르자 입장을 선회했다.

벤츠가 공개한 자료에 따르면 화재가 발생한 전기차 EQE 350+는 연식과 관계없이 모두 중국 파라시스 배터리가 쓰였다.당초 이 모델에는 세계 1위 중국 CATL 배터리와 글로벌 10위권 파라시스 배터리가 탑재된 것으로 알려졌으나 CATL 모델이 적용된 모델은 EQE 300뿐이었다.EQB 300 4MATIC,킹콩 슬롯 온라인 무료 플레이EQA 250(2023~2025년식) 등은 국내 배터리 기업인 SK온의 배터리가 쓰였다.이 외 다른 차종은 모델별로 CATL과 파라시스가 나뉘어 적용됐다.

벤츠코리아는 "소비자 및 시장의 요구에 따라 국내에서 판매되고 있는 순수전기차의 배터리 셀 공급사에 대한 정보를 공식 홈페이지를 통해 공개하기로 결정했다"고 밝혔다.
