국회 행정안전위원회 소속 김종양 의원(국민의힘,요크셔 원단창원시 의창구)은 국민경제 전반에 중대한 영향을 미치는 국가전략기술과 신성장·원천기술에 대한 연구·인력개발비의 소득세와 법인세를 감면해줄 수 있도록 하는 조세특례제한법 일부개정 법률안을 대표발의했다고 8일 밝혔다.

현재 국가전략기술과 신성장·원천기술에 대한 연구·인력개발비의 세액공제 특례와 통합투자 세액공제 특례를 둬 기술에 대한 국가 경쟁력을 확보하고,요크셔 원단기업의 연구개발을 촉진 시키고 있는데 해당 특례가 올해 12월31일 끝날 예정이다.

이에 김 의원은 "4차 산업혁명이 대두되면서 국민경제에 중대한 영향을 미치는 국가전략기술 확보를 위한 국가 간 경쟁이 날로 심화되고 있다"며 "국가의 미래 먹거리가 될 국가전략기술과 신성장·원천기술이 글로벌 경쟁력을 높일 수 있도록 조세특례를 유지해야 한다"고 설명했다.

이 외에도 김 의원은 국가전략기술의 범위에 방위산업 관련 기술을 포함해 방위산업 연구·인력개발비에 대한 세액공제를 받을 수 있도록 하는 조세특례제한법 일부개정 법률안을 대표발의할 예정이다.
