여름방학을 맞아 실내에서 신체활동을 하는 스포츠 체험시설이 인기를 끌고 있죠.

조사결과 상당수 시설에서 안전 사고 예방을 위한 조치가 미흡한 것으로 드러났습니다.

박진주 기자가 보도합니다.

지난 2월,smw music경기도 안성의 한 스포츠 체험시설의 8미터 높이의 번지점프 기구에서 60대 여성이 추락해 숨졌습니다.

이 사고를 계기로 한국소비자원이 전국 실내 스포츠테마파크 13개 업체에서 운영하는 번지점프와 클라이밍 등 113개 체험기구를 조사했습니다.

이들 업체중 1곳에서는 클라이밍 기구 절반 이상에 충격 흡수 매트가 설치되지 않았습니다.

또 클라이밍 기구가 있는 2곳과 점핑타워를 운영하는 4곳에선 매트의 폭이 2미터 미만으로 작았습니다.

실제 이들 클라이밍 기구를 이용한 사람들 62명 가운데 3명이 매트 밖으로 착지를 했다고 응답했습니다.

또 높은 곳에서 이동하거나 활강을 하는 로프코스나 집라인의 경우,smw music추락 방지를 위해 안전망을 설치해야하지만 로프라인 3개 업체와 집라인 2개 업체에서 안전망을 설치하지 않았습니다.

또 추락 충격을 줄이기 위해 안전모를 써야 하지만 한 업체의 경우 점핑타워 등 기구에 안전모를 제공하지 않은 것으로 드러났습니다.

이같은 체험기구는 대부분 임신부와 음주자,smw music기자질환자의 경우 시설 이용 부적합자로 분류되지만,smw music조사대상 업체 13개 중 5개 업체는 이용 동의서를 받지 않은 것으로 나타났습니다.

소비자원은 사고 예방조치가 미흡한 것으로 드러난 업체 사업자들에 시정을 권고하고 관계부처에 안전관리 방안 마련 등을 검토해달라고 요청했습니다.
