K-RE100 가입 이후 첫 K-RE100 이행 계약
“2040년까지 전력 100%를 재생에너지로”

[헤럴드경제=김은희 기자] ㈜한화 글로벌부문은 한국형 RE-100(K-RE100) 이행을 위해 한화신한테라와트아워㈜와 20년간 매년 약 5398메가와트시(MWh)의 재생에너지 전기를 공급하는 내용의 직접전력거래계약을 체결했다고 11일 밝혔다.

RE100은 기업이 필요한 전력량의 100%를 재생에너지원으로 조달하겠다는 의미다.

한화는 올해 1월 K-RE100에 가입하고 2040년까지 전력 사용량의 100%를 재생에너지 전기로 전환하겠다는 목표를 밝혔다.이번에 재생에너지 전력공급을 맡게 되는 한화신한테라와트아워는 한화컨버전스와 신한금융그룹이 합작투자해 출범한 재생에너지 전력거래 사업 전담 법인이다.

이번 계약을 통해 생산되는 재생에너지 전기는 질산과 질산암모늄을 생산하는 온산공장(울산 소재)에 공급할 예정이다.이는 온산공장 전력 사용량의 20% 정도를 대체할 수 있는 전력량이다.

㈜한화는 친환경 기술발전 뿐만 아니라 지속가능한 미래를 위한 저탄소 질산,슬롯 사이트 ui질산암모늄 생산을 위해 K-RE100 이행률을 단계적으로 상향해 나갈 계획이다.
