현대차로부터 캐스퍼 전기차를 위탁 제작하고 있는 광주글로벌모터스 생산라인입니다.

차제가 컨베이어벨트를 따라 이동하자 차체 아래로 육중한 크기의 배터리가 장착됩니다.

한 번 충전에 3백 킬로미터 넘게 달릴 수 있는 긴 주행거리는 캐스퍼 전기차의 최대 강점입니다.

이 배터리 제조사는 LG에너지솔루션입니다.

GGM은 지난달 시작된 캐스퍼 전기차 사전 계약 반응이 좋은 상황에서 최근 '전기차 화재 공포'가 판매에 악영향을 미칠지 노심초사하고 있습니다.

전기차 2만 천여대 등 창사 이래 최대 실적을 기대하는 상황에서 악재를 만난 것입니다.
