이번 협업은 지난달 28일 쿠키런: 킹덤에 처음 등장한‘각성 다크카카오 쿠키’를 기념해 진행됐다.60년간 나전칠기에 매진해온 손대현 장인의 올곧은 마음과 다크카카오 쿠키가 상징하는‘결의’를 연결했다.

오랜 기간 수십 번의 공정을 거쳐야 비로소 완성되는 장인의 나전칠기 작품에 쿠키의 압도적인 존재감을 담아내고,쿠키런: 킹덤의 글로벌 유저들에게 한국의 전통 무형문화를 알리기 위해 추진됐다.

나전칠기는 진줏빛이 나는 전복,조개,소라 등의 껍질을 옻칠한 목기물에 박거나 붙여 장식하는 전통 공예로,롯데자이언츠 선수약 36단계의 공정을 거쳐 완성된다.제작 기간은 최대 1년 이상이 걸리는 경우도 있다.

한편,데브시스터즈는 서울경제진흥원과 협업해 DDP 쇼룸에서‘다크카카오 쿠키,나전칠기로 깨어나다’전시를 열고 콜라보 작품의 실물을 공개한다.
